Your engagement session gives us the opportunity to get to know each other before the wedding, helping you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Most couples tell me they arrive feeling nervous and leave saying, "That was so much easier than we expected!"

During your session, I'll guide you through natural movement, prompts, and gentle direction so you can focus on enjoying time together rather than worrying about how to pose. Not every couple wants a ten-hour wedding day, a ballroom filled with 150 guests or an entire afternoon spent taking photographs.

Some couples want the big celebration. Others want to exchange vows privately in the mountains. Some want their closest family gathered in a backyard, a courthouse ceremony followed by an incredible dinner, or simply to read their vows to each other somewhere beautiful and celebrate with everyone later.

Traditional Wedding, Shorter Photography Coverage

You can have the traditional wedding without spending your entire wedding day taking photographs.

For some couples, being present with their guests matters more than disappearing for hours between the ceremony and reception. Shorter wedding coverage allows me to photograph the parts you don't want to miss—the ceremony, family photographs, candid moments and a few portraits—before sending you back to enjoy the people who came to celebrate with you.

And those epic wedding portraits?

We can take them another day.

Week-After Wedding Photography

Your wedding photographs don't have to happen on your wedding day.

A week-after wedding session gives you the freedom to put the dress and suit back on and head somewhere that would never have worked with your wedding-day timeline.

Imagine getting married in Calgary on Saturday and spending the evening celebrating with your family.

Then, the following week, we head into the Alberta Rockies or out to the Badlands around Drumheller.

No guests waiting.
No reception timeline.
No dinner getting cold.

Just the two of you, incredible scenery and the freedom to create the wedding photographs you really wanted.

It's almost like having your own little adventure elopement after the wedding.

Courthouse Weddings & Private Ceremonies

Maybe the big wedding was never what you wanted, or needed.

Sign the paperwork at the courthouse. Exchange your vows somewhere meaningful. Bring your parents or a handful of people you love—or keep it completely private.

Then go for dinner, open the champagne, throw a huge party later or head somewhere beautiful for photographs.

There is a lot of space between a courthouse wedding and a 150-person celebration.

A backyard ceremony with your children. A vow reading in a park. Dinner with twenty people. Champagne with your closest friends. A ten-year vow renewal. A private ceremony followed by a much bigger party.

Small doesn't have to mean less meaningful.

Sometimes removing the traditional expectations gives you more room for the moments that actually matter.

Spend Your Wedding Budget Where It Matters to You

There isn't one right way to divide a wedding budget.

Some couples want the venue, elaborate florals and a large reception.

Others would rather keep the ceremony incredibly simple and invest more in the experience and photographs they'll keep afterward.

1. Do you offer elopements and small ceremonies or just big weddings?

Yes, I do offer smaller, more private elopements, as well as smaller ceremonies and weddings. I love small weddings and ceremonies because this gives me more time with you, my clients, and friends, which means more special moments to capture on camera as a Calgary elopement photographer. This means more intimate moments and less party, and that’s really my vibe. My small ceremonies start at $3100, and my wedding and elopement packages start at $3300 with Calgary elopement photographer. Whether you're exchanging vows in the Alberta Badlands, planning a mountain ceremony with your closest family, or celebrating with 50 guests in a backyard, I believe your wedding day should feel intentional, relaxed, and true to your relationship.

2-WHY DO YOU LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING ELOPEMENTS IN THE ALBERTA BADLANDS?

The Alberta Badlands hold a special place in my heart and are one of my favourite locations to photograph elopements. As a Calgary Wedding Photographer, I love recommending this unique destination to couples looking for something beyond the mountains. The Badlands offer a completely different experience—dramatic landscapes, warm desert-like scenery, incredible golden light, and far fewer crowds.

One of the things I love most about Badlands elopements is how intimate and intentional they feel. As a Calgary elopement photographer whether you're exchanging vows on a canyon overlook, sharing a quiet first dance beneath the open sky, or celebrating with a small group of your closest family and friends, the landscape creates a truly unforgettable backdrop for your wedding day.

3-Do you meet all your couples in person before taking them on as clients?

Absolutely! Meeting my couples in person (or virtually) is a must before committing to any project. When you hire me as your Calgary wedding photographer, I will likely be the person you spend most of your day with. It’s so important we both FEEL we are the perfect fit for each other.

4- DO YOU OFFER NEXT-DAY OR NEXT-WEEK WEDDING PORTRAITS?

Absolutely! In fact, this is one of my favourite options for couples who want to be fully present with their family and guests on their wedding day.

Many couples feel torn between spending time with loved ones and stepping away for an extended portrait session. A next-day or next-week portrait session allows you to enjoy your wedding day without feeling rushed, while still creating the romantic, editorial-style images you've been dreaming of.

For many of my couples, this means photographing the ceremony, family photos, and key moments on the wedding day itself, then planning a separate adventure session a few days later. This gives us the freedom to choose the perfect location, ideal lighting, and take our time creating beautiful portraits without the pressure of a wedding timeline.

Whether that's exploring the Alberta Badlands, venturing into the mountains, revisiting the location where you got engaged, or planning a completely unique experience, these sessions often become some of my couples' favourite memories from their wedding season.

This option is especially popular for intimate weddings and elopements, allowing couples to enjoy a shorter, more relaxed wedding day while still receiving a stunning gallery of adventurous and meaningful portraits.

5-We want to hire you, what’s next?

Once we decide we are a good fit, I will send you your contract to read and review. It’s important that we discuss all aspects of the contract, and make sure you’re both comfortable with the terms before you sign. Once you’re ready to sign your contract, a 50% non-refundable deposit is needs to secure your date. This means I’ll be 100% available and exclusively yours for the entire day! Once your contract is signed by both parties and funds have been send, I will then send you my preferred vendors list, your wedding “Timeline Guide” so you know exactly what to expect from this moment onwards until your wedding week. I will absolutely guide you through the planning process and make sure you get the attention you need for your big day with wedding photography in Alberta.

6-Do you provide any support in the wedding planning process?

Absolutely. Upon receiving your 50% deposit and signing your contract, you’ll receive my “Wedding Timeline” Guide. This guide describes in great detail all the important deadlines, requirements, and recommendations to make your day as memorable and stress-free as possible with a Wedding Photographer in Calgary by your side. Before sending your “Save the Dates,” we’ll sit down to review your itinerary and plan the best timing for every photo moment. This is where you’ll receive all my best “secrets” and recommendations for creating a seamless wedding day. As your Wedding Photographer in Calgary, I’m here for you, and I genuinely love the planning process of each wedding, so lean on me as much as you need. Throughout the planning journey, you’ll receive ongoing support and personalized guidance every step of the way. I’ve got you! 7-Is your deposit non- refundable, even if we have to reschedule due to covid? Or other emergencies?

Yes, your deposit is non-refundable. If you need to request to reschedule your wedding, for whatever reason, the retainer shall be applied to a rescheduled session date if notice is given at least 4 weeks prior to scheduled event. A $500 rescheduling fee will apply. Rescheduling must be within same calendar year. A new retainer will be made if date change is made within 4 weeks before original agreed upon wedding date. If I am unable to accommodate your newly scheduled date, the deposit is forfeited.

7- How long will it take to receive our gallery?

Your online gallery will be ready within 12 weeks after the wedding. You’ll be able to send all your family and friends’ access and there is no charge for viewing or downloading images.

8. How do you deliver the photos?

All photographs are shot in digital format and are made available on a private online gallery available for download. Wedding photos will be delivered as high-resolution JPEG files in an online gallery.

9. What if our day runs behind, and the amount of coverage we’ve hired you for expires, do you leave without photographing all our special memories?

Unfortunately, yes, I will leave once the clock runs out. During our final meeting before your big day, we will discuss this option in detail, to make sure you’re comfortable and don’t get stuck with any extra hidden fees. Extra hours of photography are charged by an hourly rate, and you have the option to prearrange this option in case the schedule falls behind. However, this decision must be made in advance as one of my rules is never to discuss matters of business on your big day. I want you to enjoy yourself, this is your day! 

10. Do you offer free engagement sessions for your wedding clients

Yes, I do! This is the MOST important part of our relationship, getting to know each other and getting to practice posing and being in front of the camera before the big day. I offer complimentary mini and regular engagement sessions for all my wedding clients, and I offer discounted engagement photography sessions for my elopement clients.

11. Do you photograph destination weddings?

Oh absolutely, I adore travelling to photograph my weddings and I’m absolutely in for the adventure. I especially love rural DIY weddings. Exploring Alberta wedding photographer is one of my most favorite parts of the job with wedding photography in Alberta!

12.Do you have a second shooter?

Typically, no. This is because I’m 100% confident I can do everything on my own, and I always have felt that I want my work to be consistent and authentic to my style. However, if you’re interested in hiring on another shooter, I have contacts that I trust and I can inquire.

13. What is it rains on my wedding?

Then we get wet! Unpredictable weather is part of the job, unfortunately. There are always moments we can sneak out for outdoor shots, and I bring flashes to all my weddings in case we need to photograph inside. Indoor photos are less desirable but can still look beautiful. Choosing a summer, spring or early fall date will ensure a higher chance of favourable weather.   

14.    Is there a best time for photos/portraits? 

YES ! This is where I will recommend, we sit down and plan your timeline appropriately, before you send out your save the dates. The best time for photos is 1-2 hours before sunset. Which means, photos anytime between 10am-3pm yields the least desirable light for photos. Light is king, so we have to select a time slot that will work to create soft dreamy light. On a sunny day, this is challenging, so the later in the day we take most of the photos, the better. For overcast days, this rule is much less ridged.

15. We really want to wrap up photos and wedding day duties by 4pm and then party, is that ok?

As mentioned previously in question 13, this is the least desirable situation for photos because the light is very harsh. I offer a solution to this, next day/week wedding photos. If you are looking to photograph the guests, the party and dance floor and aren’t willing got leave the party for sunset photos and early evening portraits, this option is great for you. Spend your day with your guests and book me for your next day/ week wedding photos. We can recreate your big day so you can still spend all you time with guest sand family, and still get beautiful photos. The only downside for this is that you will need to dry-clean all your clothing and hire hair and makeup all over again. However, I have done this many time and it’s a great option.
